Do you offer iPhone repair in Queenstown?

Yes. GA Tech offers iPhone repair in Queenstown from our workshop, including screen, battery, charging port and camera repairs and fault assessments where available for your model. We repair Samsung, OPPO and other phones too. Drop your device off in Queenstown or send it in from anywhere in New Zealand.

Can I book a repair online?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose your device on this page, select the repairs you need and check out. You will get a confirmation email and clear next steps straight away.

Do you have a branch in Auckland?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can choose to drop your device off at our Auckland branch or send it in, and the booking shows you which branch will do your repair. Some repairs are done at one location and forwarded, which can add a few business days. Your booking tells you if that applies.

Can I send my device from outside Queenstown?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose a send-in option when you book. After checkout we show you the address to post it to. You can add a prepaid pickup label for a small fee and book a courier pickup online, or use your own courier.

Can you repair PS5 HDMI port issues in Queenstown?

GA Tech can assess game console faults, including PS5 HDMI port issues, and repair them where the console, the damage and the parts allow. Choose your console on this page to see what can be booked, or add an assessment if you are not sure of the fault.

What if I am not sure what repair I need?

Accepted Answer

Add an assessment. We inspect the device, confirm the fault and explain the best repair before any further work is done. The assessment fee is currently $60. If you go ahead with the repair, the fee comes off the repair price, so it becomes one charge.

What happens if you cannot fix my device?

Accepted Answer

If we cannot fix your device, we refund what you paid minus the assessment fee, currently $60. The refund goes back to your original payment method or, if you prefer, we can lodge it as store credit.

Question 8

Why do you ask for my passcode?

Accepted Answer

We test your device before the repair, where we can, and again after it, so we can confirm everything works and that the repair has not caused another issue. We cannot do this on a locked device. Only the technician working on your order sees it, and it is never put in emails. Prefer not to share it? Type none and bring the device unlocked, or set a temporary passcode and change it back afterwards.

Will my device be tested before and after the repair?

Where possible, yes. We check the device before the repair to confirm the fault, and test it again afterwards, covering the functions that apply to your device, such as charging, screen and touch, cameras, audio and wireless.

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our repair work comes with a 6 month warranty. It does not apply to devices with liquid damage, which are repaired at the customer's decision and without warranty. Our Terms and Conditions have the full details.

Is return shipping included for send-in repairs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For send-in repairs we return your device with free tracked delivery once the repair or assessment is complete.

Can you recover my data?

Accepted Answer

Data recovery may be possible depending on the condition of the device, but it is never guaranteed. Please back up your data before you send or drop off a device. If recovery matters to you, say so in your fault notes and choose an assessment first.

The price depends on your phone model, the fault, the repair type and the parts needed. Every repair on this page shows its price before you check out, and our repair prices page lists them all, so you know the cost up front. If you are not sure what is wrong, an assessment is the place to start.

Can GA Tech provide an insurance report?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Where it is offered for your device, add an insurance report when you book. We assess the device and provide a written report to support your claim.

Do I need to send chargers, cases or accessories?

Accepted Answer

No. Please send the device only, unless we specifically ask for an accessory. This avoids anything being lost in transit or in the workshop.

How long does a repair take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the fault, parts availability and whether the device is dropped off or sent in. Many common repairs are quick once parts are available. Assessments, board-level repairs and send-in jobs can take longer. Your booking confirmation gives you the next steps and what to expect.

Is GA Tech an authorised manufacturer repairer?

No. GA Tech is an independent third-party repairer. We are not affiliated with or authorised by Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo or other manufacturers unless we say so.
