A repair is not finished until it is sealed
Original adhesive never resets once it has been lifted. Closing a device on the old adhesive leaves an edge that lifts within weeks, and once there is a gap, dust and moisture follow. This is the most commonly forgotten item in a parts order and the most commonly regretted.
Screen adhesive. Resealing a replaced display. Model-specific pre-cut strips are listed with each device’s parts.

Repair glue. Edge sealing and awkward joins where a pre-cut strip will not sit.

Pre-cut strips or general adhesive
For screens and batteries, model-specific pre-cut strips are faster and cleaner and are stocked alongside the parts themselves under spare parts. Water resistance after a repair
Fresh adhesive restores the seal, but no third-party repair can restore the original water resistance rating, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise. Treat a repaired device as splash resistant and keep it out of pools and showers. Tell customers the same thing, because the alternative is a warranty conversation later.
