Charging that only works at a certain cable angle, or a port that feels loose, is almost always the port board rather than the charger. The board is a separate part from the logic board, which keeps the repair far cheaper than it sounds.

A1990 uses the 2018 to 2022 USB-C board shared across the Pro range. The A1707 pairs with the 13-inch A1706, and the A1398 uses MagSafe 2 instead.
