MacBook Pro 13-inch Screws

Replacement base and internal screws for the MacBook Pro 13-inch. Pentalobe P5 and Torx sizes, sourced to order for repair shops and DIY.

Replacement screws for the MacBook Pro 13-inch

MacBook screws are easy to lose and easy to strip. The base uses pentalobe heads while the internals use Torx, and running a machine with screws missing lets the base flex, which is how cables and ports get damaged next.

Base screws differ in length around the edge on these models, so they need to go back in the positions they came from.

Questions answered

Which driver do I need?

Pentalobe P5 for the base, and Torx T5 or T3 for most internals. Drivers are listed under repair tools.

Are these the correct length?

Yes. Base screws differ in length around the edge, so fit them back in the positions they came from or they will bite into the board.

I have stripped a screw head. What now?

Stop turning it. A stripped pentalobe usually needs an extractor, and forcing it damages the case thread. Book it in rather than persisting.
