The inner display is a plastic laminate rather than glass and is easily marked by tools or fingernails during a repair. The hinge assembly runs the length of the phone and cannot be worked around. Why are there two batteries?

The phone folds, so the cells are split either side of the hinge. Both halves are usually replaced together.
