Charging that has become unreliable
A port that only charges at a particular angle, or drops out when the phone is nudged, has usually worn rather than broken outright. USB-C connectors take a lot of insertions over a phone’s life and the contacts eventually lose their grip.
Before ordering, clean the port. Compacted lint is the single most common cause of a phone that has stopped charging, and it costs nothing to rule out.
